| The
navy seals have been distinguishing themselves
in combat situations since 1962. They are a highly trained and motivated
unit. Due to the dangers that they face, they prospective recruits
undergo some of the most intensive training in the Navy.
So you have heard of the Navy SEALs, and now you want to know everything.
Unfortunately Films, like G.I. Jane, don't do this awesome unit
any justice. Once you see actual footage of their training in videos
like, Navy
Seals-Silent Option, only then will you ever begin to fully
understand the determination and mental fitness is required. Just
reading through the BUD/S will more than
likely make you think twice about saying these guys are rambo wannabe's.
Seals,
is the acronym for Sea, Land and Air. Navy Seals will undergo an
intensive training course that will see them become experts in diving,
parachuting, swimming, navigation, demolitions, weapons, and many
other skills. Although they are a Navy outfit, they will also be
trained in Desert, jungle and urban warfare.
Although they may not be an Elite anti terrorist force, such as
the British SAS, they are a force to be reckoned with in their own
environment that can often place them in both human dangers and
the forces of nature. Very few military units are as effective in
a water environment as the Navy Seals.
